BILD – British Indian Ladies in Dubai – is so much more than just a community group; it’s a genuinely supportive network of women who are always willing to help one another. What I love most is that no question ever feels too big, too small or too random! Whether someone is looking for the best restaurant to take visiting parents, recommendations for schools, ideas for keeping the kids entertained during the holidays, a trusted doctor, beauty recommendation, or even the nearest tailor to a particular member – someone will invariably come back with an answer, a recommendation or an introduction. The list really is endless! There is such a lovely spirit of “sharing is caring” within the group. Members freely share their experiences, knowledge, contacts and advice, which can be invaluable, particularly when navigating life in Dubai. There is a real sense that women genuinely want to help other women. A huge amount of credit also goes to the founder, Truna. Despite creating and nurturing such a wonderful community, she remains incredibly humble, approachable and helpful. She leads by example, is always willing to support others and has created an environment where kindness, generosity and genuine connection sit at the heart of the group. BILD is welcoming, informative, positive and, above all, wonderfully supportive. It is a fantastic example of what a community can be when people genuinely look out for one another. What can I say about BILD it’s truly so special being a part of such a supportive and helpful community I moved here in jan, absolutely clueless where to buy “indian” things from … spices, indian clothes , the best places to go for indian food … these things may seem little but to be able to ask and get a reply from amazing ladies who have loved and experienced dubai longer than me feels like i’m getting advice from older sisters and makes me miss home a little less! so thank you BILD ♥️

BILD has been my Dubai home base, new friends, real connections, and a community that makes expat life feel lighter. I look forward to every meetup and event! Huge love to Truna for building a safe, supportive space for all of us to show up as ourselves and lift each other higher.

I have been living in Dubai for 2 years now and have met some wonderful people through BILD that are now close friends! My children have also benefited by making friends in Dubai that they also see in Leicester back home!

Finding the BILD Group has honestly been such a blessing. From day one, I felt like I had found my people in Dubai. The ladies are incredibly kind, welcoming and supportive, and I’ve made some wonderful new friends. There’s always plenty of laughter, banter and fun, and it genuinely feels like having a little family here in Dubai. The events are amazing, but what makes BILD really special is the heart behind it. Truna, who leads the group, is so loving and caring and genuinely wants to make sure no one feels alone. She goes out of her way to help new families feel welcomed, connected and settled. I’m so grateful I found this wonderful community and all the friendships that have come with it.
